Key Responsibilities of a Registered Nurse:

Continuously monitor and assess patients during labor and delivery, including tracking vital signs and fetal heart rates.
Provide direct patient care by administering medications, assisting with deliveries, and implementing effective pain management strategies.
Educate patients and their families on labor procedures, delivery options, and postpartum care.
Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and the healthcare team to ensure a smooth, safe, and positive birthing experience.
Maintain precise and comprehensive documentation of patient care, including detailed records of labor and delivery activities.
Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or complications while adhering to hospital protocols.
Ensure a clean and sterile environment by following infection control guidelines and hospital policies.
Registered Nurse Qualifications:

Active RN license in New Mexico.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
