Direct Care and Treatment (DCT) is seeking an individual to join our Brainerd Dental Clinic for an exciting and rewarding opportunity as a Dental Assistant! The Brainerd Dental Clinic provides patient-centered care to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, or severe and persistent mental illness. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, we are searching for a Licensed Dental Assistant that is a strong team player who treats their patients and teammates with dignity and respect. This Licensed Dental Assistant provides optimal care for these patients, responding to their needs in a respectful and professional manner. This position provides a challenging and rewarding opportunity to develop a career as a dental assistant.

Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures.

Assist providers in delivering quality care to patients.

Sterilize instruments and infection control procedures.

Accurately document treatment information in patient charts.

Assist the front office with clerical responsibilities, medical records, and scheduling.

Licensed Dental Assistant with the Minnesota State Board of Dentistry.

Possess a caring and compassionate attitude towards people with special needs.

Experience in chairside dental assisting, charting, and infection prevention

Experience assisting in an IV Sedation or Hospital setting

Completion of an Allied Sedation Course approved by the Minnesota State Board of Dentistry.

Familiarity with Dentrix electronic health record

Front office experience answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and patient follow up

Direct Care & Treatment (DCT) healthcare facilities require employees to provide documentation that they are free from tuberculosis (TB) through a blood test prior to employment. DCT does not accept TB skin testing.
