Machine Minder (2nd Shift)

Plastic Recycling, Inc. is seeking dependable Machine Operators to join our growing team. We offer competitive pay, shift differential, overtime opportunities, benefits, paid time off, and opportunities for advancement. The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining shredders, grinders, and washline equipment to process raw plastic materials into clean, properly sized feedstock for recycling. This role ensures efficient production, adherence to safety standards, and consistent output quality.

Monitor equipment performance and make adjustments to maintain optimal throughput and quality.

Perform routine equipment inspections.

Identify and report mechanical issues or malfunctions promptly.

Sort and feed raw plastic materials into machines, ensuring proper sizing and contamination control.

Maintain accurate production logs and quality control records.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.

1-2 years of experience in machine operation preferred.

Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Forklift certification and experience required.

Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Familiarity with recycling processes and material handling is a plus.
