Water Resources Project Engineer
GFT is currently seeking a Water Resources Project Engineer to join our Eastern PA Highway Team. The successful candidate will be focused on project delivery and be proficient with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation design, Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission policies, and PADEP standards and specifications. The candidate will serve as a Water Resource Engineer/Discipline Lead to deliver stormwater management design, erosion and sediment pollution control plans, NPDES permits and highway drainage designs for highway projects in Pennsylvania. The candidate will work with team members to deliver quality projects, on time and build client relationships through project delivery.
The successful candidate will be articulate with a professional presence and solid decision-making, planning and organizational skills. A general understanding of how to manage/monitor scopes, schedules and budgets on projects is desirable.
Perform detailed design deliverables such as calculations, reports, models, permit applications, and plans for highway projects from preliminary to final design.
Establish working relationships and contact with client technical staff and project managers especially in PennDOT, local governments, and private clients
Mentor and supervise junior engineers in developing plans, including but not limited to implementation and knowledge of drainage, post construction stormwater management, and E&S plans
Collaborate with Eastern Pennsylvania highway staff to prepare E&S and PCSM designs as well as prepare Chapter 102 (NPDES) permits.
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
Professional Engineering (PE) License registered in Pennsylvania or the ability to obtain within 6 months is preferred.
~5-10 years' progressive engineering experience in stormwater/drainage design required.
