Custodial Job Description
Custodial is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of a building and the surrounding areas.
Their duties include vacuuming floors, sanitizing restrooms, and collecting trash to ensure the building’s occupants have a clean space.
Custodial main responsibility:

Cleaning wood, tile, concrete, and carpet
Shampooing rugs and carpets
Emptying trash
Cleaning vents
Dusting all surfaces
Waxing and stripping floors
Cleaning restrooms
Washing windows and doors
Sweeping sidewalks
Maintaining a thorough inventory
Using equipment, commercial vacuums, floor buffers, and carpet cleaners
Custodial skills and qualifications:

Ability to stand and walk for long periods
Ability to lift and move over 50 pounds
Knowledge of different cleaning products and tools
Time management and multitasking abilities
Organization skills
Good verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Custodial education: Must have high school diploma or GED
