Associate Veterinarian/No Surgeries or Weekends!

Our client is a full-service small animal hospital seeking a Full-Time Associate Veterinarian to join its team. Caring for cats and dogs, the practice provides comprehensive general veterinary medicine alongside daily urgent care, with the ability to manage a wide range of medical and surgical needs in-house. The Associate Veterinarian will be responsible for delivering high-quality medical, surgical, and preventative care while building strong relationships with clients through clear communication and education. Responsibilities include performing comprehensive physical examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, interpreting diagnostic tests, and performing routine soft tissue surgeries and dentistry where applicable.
The veterinarian will also maintain accurate medical records, promote preventative healthcare, follow hospital protocols, and collaborate with the wider veterinary team to ensure a high standard of patient care while contributing to a positive, supportive, and team-oriented working environment.
The hospital is open Monday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, Tuesday from 7:00am to 8:00pm, Wednesday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
This AAHA-accredited, full-service veterinary hospital supports wellness and preventative medicine, diagnostics, advanced medical care, surgery, and daily urgent care. The practice describes its diagnostic and surgical equipment as state-of-the-art, with capabilities including blood and laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, and equipment supporting both routine and advanced surgical procedures.
Services are centered around Wellness and Prevention, Testing and Diagnostics, Advanced Care, Surgical Procedures, and Urgent Care. Preventative medicine includes wellness examinations, vaccinations, parasite prevention and control, allergy and dermatology care, senior pet care, and nutritional guidance.
Blood and laboratory testing and advanced diagnostic services are available for both preventative screening and the investigation of illness. Advanced medical care includes orthopedics and pain management, with many complex cases managed in-house and direct consultation with board-certified specialists available when additional expertise is required. Orthopedic cases may involve medical management, rehabilitation, surgical intervention, or specialist referral depending on the individual patient.
Surgical services range from routine to advanced procedures, including spays and neuters, using modern equipment and current surgical practices. The hospital is equipped to manage the majority of its patients' medical and surgical requirements internally while retaining access to specialist consultation for more complex cases.
The hospital has a five-DVM team supported by 17 team members across the wider practice. Clinical support includes four RVTs and five Veterinary Assistants, alongside dedicated client service, patient care coordination, pharmacy, and practice management staff.
Continuing education is promoted for both doctors and staff, with an emphasis on keeping current with advances in veterinary medicine. Veterinarians also have access to board-certified specialists for real-time consultation, providing additional clinical input when managing more complex medical and surgical cases within the general practice environment.
