Life Insurance Underwriter

Express Employment Professionals - Brooklyn, NY is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Insurance Underwriter to join a respected insurance and financial services company. The ideal candidate will possess strong risk-assessment skills, a deep understanding of underwriting principles, and the ability to make sound, data-driven decisions.

As an Insurance Underwriter, you'll evaluate applications for insurance coverage, determine risk levels, and decide on appropriate premiums and policy terms. Review and analyze insurance applications, financial statements, and risk information
Determine coverage amounts, premiums, and policy terms in line with company guidelines
Evaluate renewals and adjustments to existing policies
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory standards
Experience - 2+ years of experience in insurance underwriting or risk assessment

Education - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field (preferred)

Knowledge - Familiarity with property, casualty, life, or commercial insurance lines

Technical - Proficiency with underwriting software and Microsoft Office Suite
