Watercrest Buena Vista is looking for a bartender to join their team! Participate in providing a premier Watercrest Culinary Experience for our residents in an engaging, upscale environment. Deliver a consistently high level of customer service to each resident and maintain a safe environment by identifying problem guests and having them removed
Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company's guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
Maintain an accurate charge drawer throughout the day and be able to account for all discrepancies in the final drawer tally, close out the POS at close daily.
Mix all drinks based on the serving sizes as outlined in the company manual to keep drink costs at a minimum
Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the residents at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all times
Must be in company uniform and resident ready at all times
Resume and proven working experience as a bartender
Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks
Computer literacy
Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
Relevant training certificate
High School Graduate or equivalent
SERV Safe-Bar Certification
One (1) year as a bartender in a large-scale cooking operation, preferably in senior living or restaurant

Able to talk and hear effectively in order to convey instructions and information to residents and team members
OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE / PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
Work in all areas of the community
Subject to reactions from dust, disinfectants and cleaning chemicals and may be exposed to infectious waste, diseases, and other conditions
Use personal protective equipment and supplies when needed to prevent burns, falls, and infection
Personal protective equipment includes infection control kit, rubber gloves and non-slip shoes
This position is exposed to very hot water, hot oven temperatures, sharp knives and utensils, and broken glass, slippery wet floors and other ordinary kitchen environmental risks, requirements for personal protective equipment are apron, hair net, chef's hat and coat, rubber gloves, hot pads, non-slip shoes, short sleeves
