• MTC is proud to operate the Joliet Job Corps Center in Joliet, IL where our staff provide quality services to our local youth. Responsible for providing security coverage at campus access gate, performing patrol duties in assigned areas to ensure positive group relations and activities, to protect life and property, in compliance with government and management directives.

Follow company security procedures on all persons and vehicles entering and exiting the campus

Protect and secure buildings, center vehicles and property by checking doors, windows, lights, electrical appliances, equipment, locks and emergency equipment; control security vehicle assignments and use

respond to fire alarms; take necessary steps to report fires; reset fire alarm equipment

Distribute petty cash, maintain accountability logs and receipts, and audit each shift

Assume supervisory responsibility of all safety and security activities when assigned

Perform administrative functions such as logs, incident reports and accident documentation; When directed to do so, overtime is expected

Support and promote center zero tolerance policies

Provide positive, quality customer services to students, staff and other center customers

Promote the development of Career Success Standards by modeling appropriate behaviors, mentoring students where necessary and monitoring both positive and negative behaviors through interventions

Assist, support and communicate with community life departments to ensure high level of service.

High school diploma or equivalent and one year experience working with youth preferred

Security related experience is desired

Computer proficiency required
