Repair and Maintenance Tech

As our Maintenance Technician, you will install, service, and maintain our equipment to keep it running at top operating efficiency. This position reports to the Visalia, CA site and supports customers throughout the San Joaquin Valley in California. Service and maintain JBT machinery and chemical systems in customer packinghouse. Mix and test chemicals in the field to verify proper dilution and effectiveness. Maintain and service all JBT chemical systems and machinery in customer packing houses on a routine basis to ensure that all equipment and systems are functioning properly and are in good repair as determined by management. Maintain proper records of chemical use to assure machinery down time is kept to a minimum. Responsible for inventory cost control and summer repair parts list while maintaining proper inventory of leased machinery parts and chemical use at packinghouses to assure machinery down time and customer complaints are kept to a minimum Work with Technical Service to ensure proper application of JBT chemicals Complete checklists and fill in delivery log books for JBT requirements and food safety documentation Travel to assist other customer facilities if required depending on Fresh Pack Season needs. High School Diploma or equivalent Experience working on industrial machinery Basic mechanical skills to maintain and troubleshoot equipment issues are required. Willing to work out of town, out of state and overnight as required Availability for extended hours, weekends and/or variable schedules, especially during the processing season (ex. able to work without direct supervision.

Must be able to read and adhere to procedures and policies
Electrical circuitry experience
Computer programming experience
PLC programming experience
Packing house operations experience
Ability to work in various conditions, including indoor/outdoor weather, moving industrial machinery, chemicals and fumes, noisy or dusty environments.
Capability to lift, push, pull and move materials, typically up to 50 pounds.
Hand Use: Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling equipment and performing tasks.
The estimated annual salary/hourly range for this role is $26-29. JBT Marel uses technology‑assisted tools, including artificial intelligence (AI), to support the review of applications.
