Under the direction of the Service Response Center Supervisor, this position transports patients to diagnostic departments and from Admitting to patient units. Transports urology discharges. Assists nursing staff in transferring patients to and from transport vehicles. Responsible for transporting lab specimens, medical records and flowers. Delivers oxygen tanks and Operating Room schedules to patient units. EEO/AA/Disability/Veteran

Patient Transport

Enforces department safety policies and procedures to assure patients, staff and visitor safety.

High school diploma or equivalent required for candidates hired on or after 05/01/2004.

Must be able to read and speak English, Good interpersonal and communication skills, Successful completion of hospital orientation, Successful completion of department orientation.

Incumbents as well as external and internal applicants who become disabled must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without the assistance of reasonable accommodation as determined on a case by case basis.
