Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years of relevant ER experience, with a total of 5+ years preferred, including at least one travel assignment
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale)
Schedule: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., every other weekend; minimum of 48 hours per week
Shift Notes: 9a-9p, with multiple provider shifts throughout the day, including APP (Advanced Practice Provider) shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., and 10 p.m. to 8 a.m.
Additional information: The position involves staffing a 6-bed behavioral lockdown unit staffed by psychiatric personnel, with various specialists including charge nurses, nurse aides, paramedics, security staff, and respiratory therapists. The ER handles a broad spectrum of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics, with trauma, neuro, and orthopedic cases. All travelers must have Meditech (Medical Information Technology) version 6.15 experience, and the callout process must be included in submissions. Completion of orientation during the first week is required.
Certifications required upon submission: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC.
Additional operational notes: All team members will manage their own charting in Meditech, and specific unit protocols and ratios are in place.
