Respiratory Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift, 3x12.0 hours.

The Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, delivering intensive respiratory therapy and assisting with patient transport as medically prescribed. Conduct physician prescribed respiratory treatments using a variety of ventilatory equipment and devices to administer medications, humidification, ventilation, and oxygenation.

Perform chest physiotherapy to promote secretion clearance.

Conduct suctioning and oximetry and capnography monitoring according to policy.

Assist in procedures related to respiratory care, including bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care.

Follow all laboratory policies related to testing, quality control, and documentation.

Document all relevant patient information and treatment responses accurately.

Communicate efficiently with attending and pulmonary physicians regarding patient therapy efficacy.
