Maintenance - Laborer - Hourly

General Summary

Performs general maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge in trades such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry and electrical work.

Responsibilities

Replace electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures and motors.

Use plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings.

Repair or replace sinks, water coolers and toilets.

Paint structures and equipment.

Repair or replace concrete floors, steps and sidewalks.

Replace damaged paneling and floor tiles.

Hang doors, install door locks and replace broken windowpanes.

Perform general maintenance on equipment and machinery.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

GED or high school graduate.

Experience working in an outdoor or indoor building environment.

Able to understand verbal or written direction from lead, supervisor or other craftsmen.

Work Environment

Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, and perform constant arm extensions.

Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, with minor safety hazards that may result in cuts or bruises.

Must be able to pass a local background check and obtain/maintain clearance after hire.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $38.09 per hour. Eligible for a range of competitive benefits, including medical, well‑being, financial planning and short‑term incentives.
