RN, Registered Nurse - Emergency Care - Full Time

As a Nurse-RN at Phoenix House, you will review and transcribe medication orders, monitor medication records for compliance and provide triage and medical services accordingly.
Responsibilities On Site daily
Supervises LPNs
Maintains emergency medical kit at each location
Develop and implement a plan to have staff and patients, where appropriate, trained in the prescribed use of Narcan kit
Support patients in the self-administration of medication
Documentation of self-administration of medication
Performs TB and Drug screenings on all patients within 72 hours of admissions
Performs routine urine drug screens as directed by the treatment/recovery plan
Monitors and records vital signs

Salary range $41.15 - $61.73
Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION
Graduate from an accredited nursing program
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Current NYS license
Current certification in CPR, Child Abuse and Infection Control
Required Experience
At least three years related experience
Qualified by training, education, and experience in providing nursing care for chemically addicted patients and patients withdrawing from alcohol and/or drugs

Work Environment This job operates in an indoor medical clinical environment. This role also routinely comes into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. Appropriate gloves required.
