An Architectural Designer II/Architect II (ADII/AII) is responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned project, including investigation, evaluation, and development of design solutions that best meet the client's needs. The ADII/AII provides professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large and complex projects; Demonstrate flexibility and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with project teams, consultants, and contractors

Be capable of learning and adapting to new software as required

Project Design and Planning

Understand the MA “Project Road Map”, project schedule and key deadlines

Participate in project design and development from concept through documentation

Assist in preparing client design presentations (concept images, 3D views, rendered elevations, material selections); Prepare design presentation documents, renderings, and materials as directed

Understand project scope, deliverables, and expectations

Project Administration

Help to identify agenda items for meetings

Draft meeting minutes for PA/PM review

Manage BIM coordination for consultants

Contractor Management

Serve as secondary point of contact for RFIs, submittals, and project correspondence

Project Documentation

Support production of Design Development and Construction Document sets

Organize and track project correspondence and communications

Incorporate changes and updates into the project documentation

Develop new or identify existing details to be utilized for project

Assist in development of project‑specific construction details

Quality Control

Comply with MA Presentation Standards and Project Checklists

Demonstrate working knowledge of building codes and accessibility requirements

Implement BIM execution and coordination as directed

Maintain server file organization and archive project emails

Assist project team with CA activities as directed

Attend site meetings as directed

Assist with Field Reports and Punch Lists

Prepare record documents at project closeout

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Architecture or a related field.

Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, Procore, MS Office, and Bluebeam.
