Commercial Drywall Estimator

A well-established commercial interiors contractor is hiring a Drywall Estimator to bid and win projects across their full scope: drywall, acoustical ceilings, structural framing, and light gauge metal framing. You'll work with project managers and leadership on a strong pipeline of commercial work, including office, healthcare, education, retail, and multifamily projects.

What you'll do

Prepare accurate, competitive bids for commercial drywall, acoustical ceiling (ACT), light gauge metal framing, and structural/CFS framing packages
Perform quantity takeoffs from plans and specs using On-Screen Takeoff, PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar
Review drawings, specifications, and addenda, and identify scope gaps, exclusions, and value-engineering opportunities
Get and level material and sub pricing, and build labor and production estimates
Write clear proposals with inclusions, exclusions, and qualifications
Attend pre-bid meetings and site walks, and build relationships with general contractors
Hand awarded projects off to operations with complete estimate documentation
What you'll bring

• 3+ years of estimating experience in commercial drywall, framing, or interior systems
• Working knowledge of ACT systems, metal stud framing, structural/CFS framing, and fire-rated and acoustical assemblies
• Proficiency with digital takeoff software and Excel
• Strong blueprint and spec reading skills, and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple bids and hit deadlines
• Field or project management experience is a plus
