Shift:
Responsible for performing specific technical skills during pre-procedure and post-procedure Interventional and Invasive Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology, and Radiology procedures. This position helps prepare and recover patients, ensuring efficiency, comfort, and safety. Additionally, this role requires proficiency in all aspects of the outlined job description and adherence to the scope of practice, consistent with state statutes, policies, procedures, and processes of the Cardiovascular Services Department. Additionally, this role actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all.
Uses positive pressure ventilation devices, suctions the upper airway, and provides supplemental oxygen therapy. Obtains patient history, vital signs, performs 12 lead EKGs, and monitors/interprets cardiac telemetry. Follows CDC isolation guidelines, uses PPE appropriately, performs hand hygiene, and maintains aseptic technique. Produces accurate and prompt medical records, ensuring authenticity and security, and follows the process for amending documents. Assists Emergency Department Registered Nurse with transporting STEMI patients to the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Performs venipuncture for laboratory testing and CPR when needed. Under physician supervision, performs exercise and pharmacologic cardiac stress testing. Monitors and transports patients with ACLS approved medication drips and administers medications by IV push or infusion in emergencies. Establishes and maintains peripheral intravenous access and administers non-medicated intravenous fluid therapy. Advanced levels of ECG training & arrhythmia interpretation. • 1+ Paramedic experience [Preferred]
• Cardiology experience [Preferred]

Licensed Paramedic (PARA) [Required]
• Critical Care Paramedic - Certified (CCP-C) [Preferred]
