Warehouse Responsible and Delivery

Overview Job Location: Savage Plant - Savage, MD 20763

Salary Range: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00

Job Summary: To manage, organize and control all activities within the Warehouse function. To maximize the efficiency and utilization of all resources, including labor and equipment to achieve the required service levels and performance results. To provide a key link between the Warehouse and all internal and external customers.

Responsibilities Accurate recipe and allocation of lot codes to all raw material/packaging deliveries

Ensure samples collected for Quality Assurance Department

Ensure correct inventory rotation of all raw materials and packaging

Ensure all inventory stock is verified to specifications

Working liaison with Purchasing Department to allocate delivery times

Manage all waste disposal

Ensure all documentation is completed and submitted promptly to designated departments as required

Proven record of accomplishment of delivering change through continuous improvement initiatives and techniques

Ability to work under pressure and capable of reacting to ever changing needs of customer requirements

Management experience of planning within a high-volume operation

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience Experience in food manufacturing environment (minimum 5 years)

Excellent communication and influencing skills

A driven attitude that achieves results

Ability to lead and motivate teams and individuals to achieve results

Knowledge of ERP and IT systems

Knowledge of SQF requirements and documentation

Knowledge of HACCP, USDA and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) requirements

Desired Skills Positive attitude and motivation by contributing to the overall success of the team

4 Year Degree preferably in Logistics or Business Administration

Experience with budgets and financial reporting

Able to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) and general food safety standards knowledge is preferred

Obsessive attention to detail, well organized and able to juggle many projects at once

Comfortable moving at a fast pace and in ambiguous environments

Willing to address demanding situations head on with patience and respect

Working Conditions and Physical Effort Physical Demands/Efforts: Work requires occasional physical exertion, including some lifting of objects weighing up to 25 pounds

Mental & Visual Demands: Work requires moderate concentration to effectively execute moderately complex tasks and some visual effort for periods of time

Work Environment and Hazards: Manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, cold, dust, or other factors of minor inconvenience; some exposure to hazards that might cause minor injury

Travel: Less than 10% travel is required; travel would be to other sites via airplane

Department Leader must have availability and flexibility to work different shifts and weekends, to provide direct leadership support; may require weekends or overtime as required
