Job Details:

Locum to potential permanent position covering for a physician on medical leave (May 1-August 31, 2026) Office hours 8-4 plus call coverage in a 1:4 rotation through perfect serve system Work with a collaborative team of 3 physicians and 5 midwives See approximately 25-30 patients per day with one-on-one clinical staff support Manage predominantly low-risk pregnancies (90%) with some high-risk cases (10%) Handle gynecological cases (20% of practice) with opportunity for 1-4 surgeries per day based on provider preference Perform routine and complicated deliveries including vaginal, C-sections (10% of patients), breech, and multiple births Conduct FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE) and read ultrasounds performed by seasoned technicians Provide comprehensive gynecological services including IUD placement, colposcopy, LEEP procedures Perform surgical gynecology including open procedures, laparoscopic procedures, and major operative interventions Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN with active VA license (or willing to obtain) BLS/ACLS certification required Provider must be local - only mileage is reimbursed Self-Query NPDB report required within 30 days of presentation Estimated credentialing timeframe: 120 days after approved candidate submission
