Title: Quality Engineer

Reports to: Quality Engineering Manager

LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. (LGESMI) develops and manufactures large lithium-ion polymer batteries and packs for electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage applications. This role drives continuous quality improvement by gathering and analyzing data, maintaining standards, proposing solutions, and communicating with all stakeholders, from operators to high-level management.

Oversee all quality inspections, including activity of off shifts

Ensure accurate and standardized collection of data

Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and troubleshooting

Communicate with all stakeholders to ensure testing for changes in materials or dimensions occurs

Provide data as requested by other work related team include HQ

Track/monitoring SPC data of all inspections and drive future changes

Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent, relevant experience (MS preferred)

Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/industrial Engineering / Computer science / or equivalent

Knowledge Lean Six Sigma (Greenbelt or black belt holder preferred)

0 to 3+ years of experience in a quality engineer or related role

Experience with complete core documents, including control plans and process failure mode effects analysis (PFMEA) helpful
Project and process management skills
