Histotechnician I - Histology Lab

Histotechnician
Labcorp is seeking a Histotechnician to join our team in Brentwood, TN.
Work Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care
Perform and document equipment maintenance as needed
Record equipment log data in an accurate and timely manner
Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures
Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies
Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, analysis and reporting
Document problems that may affect test performance and perform corrective actions as needed
Associate's degree in Histology OR Associate's degree in a Chemical or Biological science with 1 or more years of experience in a clinical lab (within the past 5 years) or completion of a Histology certification program (min 9 months)

3 months or more of histology experience
~Histology and/or ASCP certifications

In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements
Understanding of laboratory operations as well as policies and procedures
Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment
Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems
Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs
