General Maintenance and Repair Tech (Full Time)

Amarillo Gear Company LLC is part of the global industrial organization Marmon Holdings, backed by Berkshire Hathaway. This role is for a Maintenance Technician who will install, maintain, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electric, mechanical and electrical systems on production equipment and work independently on standard maintenance and repairs.
High school diploma or equivalent (required). A technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Associate’s degree in Machining or Certificate in Industrial Maintenance.
At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
Thorough knowledge of programming of PLC and CNC controls.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and understanding of various industrial machinery and systems.
Problem‑solving and diagnostic abilities to analyze equipment issues and find solutions.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and online CMMS systems.
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and visual inspections.
Test assigned machines and equipment for proper functionality.
Order requisition parts as needed.
Perform repairs on production machines and/or equipment when a malfunction is detected; communicate with Maintenance Manager or other maintenance workers to diagnose and repair the machine.
Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
Perform machine installations/moves and building maintenance tasks as needed.
Assist workers in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
Ensure that a high level of safety is always adhered to on and off the production floor.
Assist in TPM development and implementation.
