Dieterich Bank is seeking a Retail Banker to join our team in Effingham, Illinois. As a Retail Banker, you will be the face of the bank, helping customers achieve their financial goals while delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships.

Build strong customer relationships through outstanding customer service

Open and maintain consumer deposit accounts

Process customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and check cashing

Assist customers with online banking, mobile banking, and digital banking services

Address account maintenance requests, including address changes and fraud-related inquiries

Identify customer financial needs and recommend appropriate products and services

Resolve customer concerns professionally and confidentially

Support branch operations while contributing to a positive team environment

Maintain accuracy and compliance with bank policies and procedures

1-3 years of customer-facing service experience, preferably in banking, retail, or financial services

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office, online banking platforms, and mobile applications

Dependable attendance and flexibility to work rotating Saturdays

Associate degree in Business or a related field

Previous banking, teller, or retail banking experience

Full-time, up to 40 hours per week

Rotating Saturday schedule (minimum two Saturdays per month) between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM

When staffing permits, employees working a scheduled Saturday may receive a weekday off
