This individual will draft, negotiate, and manage a high volume and variety of contracts across Flagship's portfolio companies, including agreements related to research and development, IT, and general business operations. The ideal candidate will have exposure to, or a strong interest in, a broad range of commercial and research-related agreements, strong organizational skills, and the ability to proactively build organizational knowledge and relationships across the Flagship ecosystem.The team you would be joining is tight-knit and committed to helping one another succeed.Conduct initial reviews and prepare redline drafts for senior attorney review.Support the delivery of training to relevant business units on contracts processes to ensure approvals and contract requirements are met.Format documents for finalization and execution, including use of e-signature services.Coordinate with other departments (Finance, Procurement) to improve contract processes; degree from an accredited law school.Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously with guidance and direction from senior attorneys; strong customer service orientation with the ability to actively manage stakeholder expectations across Flagship portfolio companies.Demonstrated willingness and enthusiasm to learn, evaluate, and apply state-of-the-art AI legal tools to improve the quality, speed, and efficiency of day-to-day legal work.Experience working in a law firm or in-house legal department.Familiarity with contract management systems and tools, including AI-powered tools for document review, redlining, and finalization.Willingness to develop negotiation skills and the ability to conduct legal research to evaluate applicable laws, rules, regulations, and guidelines relevant to the contracts function.You thrive in environments that require creative problem solving, strong ownership, and alignment with mission-driven outcomes.Work Environment & BenefitsStandard office environment in Cambridge with hybrid flexibility options.Professional growth opportunities across Flagship Pioneering and its portfolio.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status. #Flagship Pioneering currently offers healthcare coverage, annual incentive program, retirement benefits and a broad range of other benefits.
