Description
American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist for a night shift position at a Magnet-designated, Level 1 Trauma teaching hospital, requiring proficiency in abdominal doppler imaging and transplant studies.
Details

• General Ultrasound Tech position with varying daily caseload
• 3x12 hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• No on-call requirements
• Will float between Main campus and ART as facility needs require
• Uses Epic charting system
• Equipment includes PACS, Philips, and Siemens ultrasound systems

Minimum 1 year of experience required
Must be proficient in abdominal doppler imaging and transplant studies
BLS certification required
ARDMS or ARRT(S) certification required
Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
SC state ultrasound license not required
License required if applicable
First-time travelers accepted
SSN required for consideration
Additional Information

Perform general ultrasound studies including OB/GYN, abdominal, vascular, and small parts imaging
Skills include abdominal aorta, gallbladder, liver, pancreas, spleen, and renal/bladder imaging
Experience with color flow and doppler studies, renal artery duplex, and TIPS procedures preferred
Work with adult patients across Emergency Department, ICU, and portable imaging settings
Teaching hospital and Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
Magnet-designated, teaching hospital with Level 1 Trauma status and 865 staffed beds
Scrub requirements are teal tops and black bottoms
Radiation badge not required
Radius rule of 60 miles applies; local candidates considered case-by-case at a reduced rate
Previous perm or PRN staff must be separated from the facility for 1 year before returning as a traveler
All RTO must be submitted at time of application and is subject to facility approval
Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June through November)
