Field Engineer

William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company is hiring Field Engineers to support our assigned renewables and power delivery projects. The Field Engineer will provide support to the Project Manager and Construction Manager on various projects. General responsibilities include implementation of the project specific Quality Plan, site specific plans, material inventory and receiving.

Travel & Project Assignment: You can live in any city or state in the continental United States. This is an on-site position which may encompass a work site primarily in the Midwest, but may include Eastern and Western states. Must be capable of working on-site for 3 weeks with a four-day rotation. We offer designated per diem of $1,020 per week in addition to base pay to support and help you cover living expenses during the travel rotation. The Clean Energy & Infrastructure Group comprises the following market sectors and operating companies: Renewables: IEA Constructors, Wanzek Construction, White Construction; Industrial: Phoenix Industrial, MasTec Industrial; Infrastructure: American Civil Constructors West Coast, Cash Construction, FNF Construction, MasTec Civil, McKee Utility Contractors, Precision Aggregate Products, Ragnar Benson Construction, Saiia Construction, William Charles Construction, William Charles Electric; General Building: Performs field survey work in regards to layout and tracking of work activities, utilizing PC based software and GPS station/field equipment.

Manages project specific quality control records and ensuring that required reporting is accomplished.

Planning, scheduling and coordinating to ensure that all required audits/inspections are performed and documented.

Assist with material inventory and receiving paperwork.

Assist with subcontractor scheduling and management

Bachelor's degree (construction management, civil engineering or equivalent) preferred

Previous construction experience desired

Must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B visa status)

Take reasonable care of your own and others' health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the Company's Zero Injury principles

Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software packages quickly

Proficiency with Microsoft suites program.

Familiarity with GPS and Surveying Equipment
