Head of Project Management

Piper Companies is looking to hire an onsite Project Manager based in RTP, NC. The Project Manager role supports a global leader in high-speed interconnect and electronics manufacturing, driving execution of complex new product development initiatives within the telecom and datacom markets.

Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

Manage end-to-end project execution including planning, scope, schedule, and budget to ensure successful delivery

Serve as the primary liaison to Program Managers, providing updates on project status, risks, and resource needs

Lead cross-functional teams across multiple sites and coordinate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

Drive financial performance through cost tracking, capital request support, and scope management

Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks while ensuring speed to market and manufacturability standards (DFM)

Qualifications of the Project Manager:

4+ years of project management experience within manufacturing, mechanical, or hardware-focused environments

Ability to thrive in a chaotic, fast-paced, high-pressure environment with constant change (non-process-heavy)

Strong personality and work ethic; proactive, dependable, and coachable with willingness to support and grow into the role

Comfortable starting in a support capacity under Program Managers, with strong stakeholder communication skills and conflict resolution ability; PMP certification preferred

Willingness to travel 50-60% domestically (Valley Green, PA / Santa Clara, CA) initially, tapering over time

Compensation for the Project Manager includes:
Salary range: $70,000-$100,000
