These markets include aerospace and defense, factory automation, air and water quality environmental monitoring, electronics design and development, oceanographic research, deepwater oil and gas exploration and production, medical imaging and pharmaceutical research.Job DescriptionTeledyne Qioptiq has an immediate need for an enthusiastic Material Handler who will be responsible for assisting and conducting the receipt, storage, internal delivery and other material movements as necessary to support our production operations.Responsibilities:Physically receiving material and internal movements.Creating and executing appropriate SAP transactions. Production line support, storage and traceability requirements.Interface with engineering, production and purchasing to coordinate material movements as needed.Compliance with all written procedures for inventory and material handling activities.Efficient movement of materials required to meet production schedules.Identify, track and escalate material shortages as appropriate.Building component "kits" as required to support production operations.Inventory accuracy; material organization, material stocking and delivery, cycle counts and physical inventory activities as required.Identify and resolve inventory variances and related issues.Document storage and retention in accordance with Teledyne Qioptiq requirements.Preparation, palletization and execution of outbound shipments, including hazardous materials shipping.Consignment inventory tracking, usage and cost accuracy.Hand and eye coordination required to operate a computer and mouse.Excel experience is desiredSAP experience is desiredWhat You NeedHigh school diploma or GED requiredA minimum of 3 years' experience in a manufacturing settingA minimum of 1 year of experience with inventory controlComputer skills – inventory is kept in SAP and parts are issued out of inventoryMS Word experience is requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
