Copywriter

The Opportunity:

We’re looking for a copywriterand strategic thinkertoaccelerate our brand position as an advanced technology company. Working as part of Booz Allen’s Strategic Communications and Channels team, this rolewill translate the complexities ofourtechnology and business intothe simple, compelling, and meaningfulworkthat demandsattention and inspires engagement from both external and internal audiences.

As a contentcontributor,you’llhelpcraft boththe technology-based brandstorythat defines Booz Allen, and the operational story of how our people work and collaborate to get it done. You’lldevelop everything from newsletters to scripts, web copy, and digital ads thatspark interest in the technology we build, and the longer-form copy thatexplains how and why we built it.Operating at the intersection ofbusinessand creative, you will collaborate with marketers, executives,subject matter experts,and our in-house creative team to align copy to business strategy, havinga voice inbothwhat the work isandhow we get it done.We’re lookingfor a strongwriter andstrategic thinker. We need someone who understands how their copy and storytelling move peopledowna marketing funnel,and can work with others to improve that process. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

What You’ll Work On:

Lead the development of short-form, high-impact copy across our internal and external channels.

Createboldheadlinesthat drive awarenessandclear campaign copy that strengthens understanding.

Translate complex, technical concepts into crisp,simplelanguage.

Collaborate with creative and strategic partners from kickofftocreation,approvals, and final delivery.

Contribute to and help evolveourbrand voice, messaging, and tone across platforms.

Provide copy and content leadership across projects and teams.

Stay current on marketing trends, technology, and industry language to keepyour workfresh and relevant.

You Have:

Experience in marketing, advertising, or brand copywriting

Experience as a digital-firstcopywriter, including short-form copy

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Ability to display apassionfor clarity, brevity, and creativity

Ability to be a strategic thinkerwho can align business goalsto marketing strategy

Ability to collaborate and work across functions and disciplines, and be calm under pressure, comfortable with shifting priorities, and confident managing multiple deadlines

Ability to balance brand-level storytellingwith tactical marketing needs, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and balance competing priorities

Ability to provide a portfoliodemonstratingmultiplewriting styles, including conceptual, digital,and campaign work

Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

Experience working in-house at a technology, defense, or national security company, or at an agencyunder an ACD or CD-Copy with clients in similar industries

Experience in creative direction orpartneringwith an Art Director

Experience using Adobe Creative Suite, ChatGPT, Copilot, and other AI productivity apps

Ability to drive a creative process between business executives, marketing leaders, and creative teams

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
