NV5 is seeking an Geotechnical Engineer for our Charlotte, NC location. ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the geotechnical engineering team, providing technical guidance and mentorship.Oversee the planning, design, and implementation of geotechnical investigations and analyses.Develop and review geotechnical reports, proposals, and project documentation.Collaborate with clients, project managers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project success.Conduct site visits and field inspections to assess soil and rock conditions.Utilize advanced geotechnical software for modeling and analysis.Stay updated with the latest advancements in geotechnical engineering and incorporate them into practice.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field (master’s or Ph.Minimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundation design.Demonstrated above-average technical capabilities and working knowledge of basic geotechnical software (LPILE, FB-DEEP, SPW911, SETTL3D, SLOPE/W etc).
