Position: Burner/Torch Cutter

Location: New Castle, PA

Schedule: 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Job Type: Full Time

Cutting & Burning : Operate oxy-acetylene torches and plasma cutters to precisely cut and shape steel products as required.

Inspection & Preparation : Inspect raw materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and are ready for further processing.

Safety : Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines in a high-risk environment.

Maintenance & Equipment Care : Maintain and troubleshoot cutting and lancing tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality and safety.

Collaboration : Work closely with team members, supervisors, and other departments to meet production goals and ensure smooth operations.

Maintain accurate records of materials used, equipment maintenance, and work completed.

Experience : Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Burner, Lancer, or in a similar role within a manufacturing or steel mill environment.

Proficient in operating oxy-acetylene torches, plasma cutters, and high-pressure air lances.

Strong understanding of metal types, steel alloys, and cutting techniques.

Familiarity with safety procedures and equipment in a steel mill setting.

Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for long periods, and work in extreme temperatures and noisy environments.
