RN: Pediatrics - Weekend Nights

Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift, 3x12-hour, from 19:00 to 07:30. Every other weekend and holiday is required, as applicable.
The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality care to critically ill infants, children, and adolescents. The nurse will manage patient care based on established protocols and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for the patients.

Deliver direct bedside care to critically ill pediatric patients.
Maintain patient ratios of 1:1-2; 1:3 for intermediate care based on acuity.
Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
Utilize advanced technologies and equipment for patient care.
Provide education and support to families regarding patient care and treatment plans.
Float as necessary to adolescents, pediatrics, PHOC, and NICU as required.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in pediatric intensive care; may consider 2 years in a large facility.
Active NJ or Compact nursing license required at time of submission.
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required. NIHSS preferred.
Experience with continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) and patient transport is highly preferred.
