Performs venipuncture and processes patient specimens for analysis or other medical purposes. Eastvale is a single person site; Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

High school diploma or GED required. Possess Phlebotomy and Advanced Phlebotomy certificate from an accredited training institute.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations

California State Phlebotomy Tech I certificate required. Essential functions are critical or fundamental to the performance of the job. Note: (other duties may be assigned, deleted or changed at any time, at the discretion of management, formally, or informally, either verbally or in writing).

Perform venipuncture using universal precautions/personal protective equipment and approved techniques to ensure appropriate patient care.

Utilizes Order Entry System to access orders and complete exams.

Respond to draw requests and with appropriate attention to order frequency and indicators of medical emergency (i.e. STAT, ASAP, and timed draws).

Recognize patients’ privacy and safeguard those rights.

Respond to life-saving situations following policies, procedures and protocol.

Participate in the development, implementation and follow-through of departmental quality improvement activities.

Stock supplies as necessary

Adhere to the policy and procedures as presented by Riverside Medical Clinic.
