RN Weekend PCU Night Shift

Registered Nurse

Nursing staff will provide care in a stepdown unit. The unit has 26 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4 or 1:5. Common diagnoses include CHF, COVID pneumonia, and Afib with RVR. Nursing does not mix medications. An electronic medical record (EMR) system is in use. The shift schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts. There is a weekend requirement every other weekend. Holidays will be worked every other holiday. All staff are expected to float to other units as needed. Support from a hospitalist is available during daytime hours. No vents are managed on the unit, but Bipap, Cpap, and HF/Vapotherm are utilized. Nurse aides are available for assistance.
