Must-Have:

• Experience with child and adolescent patients
• Ability to manage anxiety disorders, bipolar disorder, depressive disorders, psychotic disorders, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, substance use issues, suicidal behavior, and trauma/stressor-related disorders
• Proficiency in physical hold protocols, medication administration, blood glucose monitoring, seclusion protocols/procedures, and psychoeducation

Description:
Seeking a registered nurse for the pediatric behavioral health unit.
The position involves floating between units as needed.
Weekends are required, with every other weekend included.
Expected patient ratios will be 1:5 or 1:10 during night shifts.
Must have a vehicle for the assignment.
Travelers may be required to float to other units based on skill set and unit needs.
Interdisciplinary support is provided by phlebotomy, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretaries.
Patients typically range in age from 6 to 17 years and are medically stable.
Children are usually admitted for behavioral issues, while adolescents often present with acute suicidal ideation or attempts.
Special equipment includes the hover jack and humane wrap for patient transportation.
Compliance with floating requirements is a condition of employment.
