Job Summary: Labor And Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse Santa Monica, CA

A Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse position is available in an acute care HCF in Santa Monica, CA, supporting high-risk antepartum and labor needs, including fetal heart monitoring and labor and delivery care. The role includes C-section support and may require floating to postpartum as needed, including postpartum couplet care when appropriate. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week, with weekend coverage required every other weekend.

Required Qualifications: Current California RN licensure (CA license must be in hand); BLS (AHA); ACLS (AHA); NRP; AWHONN Advanced (or NCC acceptable in lieu); FHM (as listed); EFM (as listed); minimum 2 years of experience (as specified); ability to work in an OR suite during C-section (standard equipment).

Preferred Qualifications: Experience assisting with vaginal delivery; experience circulating for C-sections; experience providing high-risk antepartum and labor and delivery care; experience supporting newborn role at delivery and postpartum couplet care.

Additional Information: No on-call required; floating to postpartum may be required. Participation in the units newborn role and postpartum couplet care may be needed based on staffing and coverage requirements. Must be able to perform responsibilities that include fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy monitoring, as applicable to assignment.
