Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Operator to join our team, specializing in horizontal mills with Makino Machines and Fanuc Controllers. This role involves setting up and operating CNC mills, focusing on low-volume production with numerous setups per day. Strong setup experience is essential, as the programs are auto-loaded by engineering, eliminating the need for programming adjustments.

Set up and operate multiple CNC machines and other machinery to produce precision metal parts.

Perform basic setup and operate CNC mills, focusing on Makino Machines with Fanuc Controllers.

Conduct 1st piece inspections and potentially train others in these processes.

Follow detailed work instructions to maintain production efficiency and accuracy.

Use various gauges to inspect finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.

Record and maintain data per standard operating procedures.

Experience in setting up and operating CNC mills, specifically Makino Machines with Fanuc Controllers.

Experience with machine operation, including milling and lathe operations.

Experience in manual material removal and sub-assembly operations.

Capability to perform quality control using various gauges.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL.
