Nursing Responsibilities

Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients, including:

Perform medical intakes and assess if patient is fit for incarceration, as needed

Respond to sick call requests and follow up with the medical provider when needed

Check and/or change medical dressings as required by the medical provider

Manage chronic care

Provide patient education on health concerns

Respond to medical emergencies, including life-saving measures and taking charge and giving direction in an emergency

Maintain working knowledge of pharmacology, including drug reactions/overdose, formulary/non-formulary medications, and knowledge of medication costs

Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations

Floating to various correctional facilities throughout Southern Indiana. Candidate must live in the state of Indiana or a neighboring state.

Shift Openings
Availability for dayshift, nightshift, and weekends. Travel accommodations provided with potential for company vehicle.

Valid Indiana or Compact LPN or RN licensure
