Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Holding
Schedule
36 hours per week, Nights
Assignment Details
Daily census of 32 patients, 32 beds
Requirements
Minimum 2 years RN experience
Required clinical background: ER, ER Holding, or Medical Surgical/Tele
Valid RN license (compact or state license) at time of submission
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS
Charting experience in Epic preferred
Documented ER experience required
Responsibilities
Provide care and observation for ER/holding patients
Monitor telemetry and recognize dysrhythmias
Support patients with airway needs including BiPAP, CPAP, and tracheostomy care
Perform IV access and care for peripheral/PICC/central lines, including blood product administration
Care for ventilated patients with high-acuity monitoring
Manage chest tubes and wound care including VAC
Monitor procedural sedation and interpret ABGs
Manage seizures, CVAs, and traumatic brain injuries
Administer cardiac/vasoactive and insulin drips

Compliance / Notes
COVID-19 vaccine not required; Flu vaccine is required (medical exemptions only). Fingerprinting must be completed immediately after signing the contract.
