Bartender - Restaurant/Bar

Bartender Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of spirits, wines, beers and cocktails, and be able to craft exceptional beverages for our discerning clientele. This role requires a strong emphasis on guest satisfaction, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, upscale environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and serve a wide variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and consistency.

Possess an extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beer and cocktails, including classic and contemporary creations.

Provide expert recommendations based on guests' preferences and food pairings.

Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring all equipment and glassware is spotless.

Manage inventory and place orders for liquor, beer, wine, and other bar supplies.

Adhere to all liquor laws and regulations, including age verification and responsible serving.

Provide exceptional customer service, building rapport with guests and anticipating their needs.

Contribute to the overall ambiance of the restaurant by maintaining a professional and polished appearance.

Collaborate with the bar and restaurant teams to ensure seamless service.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 - 3 years of bartending experience in an upscale restaurant or upscale bar.

Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, beer and cocktail preparation techniques.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

Must be of legal drinking age and able to pass a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

Formal bartending education or certification.

Experience with point-of-sale systems.

Knowledge of wine pairings and food and beverage service.
