Senior Life Insurance Underwriter - REMOTE

PACE Underwriters Position

PACE Underwriters - one of BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina's subsidiary companies.

While this position is open for remote work, we prefer talent local to the Carrollton, Texas area. Typical work hours are Monday - Friday from 8am - 5pm CST.

Determines the acceptability of new group risk. Trains and advises less experienced underwriters.

Serves as a liaison to other departments concerning underwriting issues.

Bachelor's

Degree Equivalency: 4 years job related work experience or Associate's and 2 years job related work experience

Required Work Experience: 5 Years underwriting experience.

Excellent organizational, customer service, oral and written communication skills. Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion. Extensive knowledge of underwriting and risk principles and their application.

Required Software and Other Tools: Microsoft Office.

Bachelor's degree-Accounting, Finance, Business or Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field

Preferred Work Experience: 7 Years-underwriting experience.

Insurance course work in FLMI, HIAA, or BCA.

Preferred Software and Other Tools: Knowledge of database software and computer systems support. Subsidized health plans, dental and vision coverage
