Requirements

Infection Control License

Registered dental assistant / Certified dental assistant

Current Massachusetts Dental Assistant license

Radiology certification

Knowledge of infection control protocols (HLD, sterilization)

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment

Job Description

Clinical Duties

• Prepare surgical treatment rooms with periodontal instruments
• Assist during surgical and non-surgical periodontal procedures
• Take and process periodontal radiographs (periapical/bitewing)
• Perform periodontal charting and maintain accurate records
• Manage infection control protocols (HLD, autoclaving, sterilization)
• Provide chairside assistance (suctioning, instrument passing)

Patient Care & Administrative Duties

• Educate patients on post-operative care instructions
• Take dental impressions as needed
• Maintain HIPAA/OSHA compliance
• Manage patient records and documentation
