Medical Laboratory Scientist - Providence Newberg Medical Center
Part Time/Variable Shift
The Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist Journeyman is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. The MT/CLS Journeyman is capable of performing pre‑analytical, analytical and post‑analytical duties, including specimen evaluation, data analysis, instrument maintenance, and problem resolution. They collaborate with acute‑care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff, to perform laboratory duties.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science from a NAACLS accredited MLS program, or
Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Sciences.

1 year experience as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in a department in the laboratory or exceeding the principal duties and functions in the MLS I job description.
Preferred Qualifications
3 years clinical laboratory experience in a moderate and high complexity laboratory.

Pay Range: $37.84 - $58.75 per hour. Base pay range is determined by experience and qualifications; additional compensation may be available for shift service.
