RDA/DENTAL ASSISTANCE

Assists dental professionals in delivering patient care by providing technical support for dental treatments, including preparation of treatment rooms and drugs. Coordinates daily operations in the dental area, manages inventory, and ensures efficient patient reception and communication.
Assist medical personnel within area (e.g., surgical staff, dentists, nursing personnel) in delivery of care/treatment (e.g., perioperative care, dental treatment).
room/equipment prep, drug prep and labeling) for execution of treatment plans/procedures.
Coordinate general operations within area (e.g., Monitor and maintain inventory and supplies within area as required.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
~ High School Diploma/GED Required.

2+ years of dental assistance experience required.

• Experience with pediatric dentistry preferred.
• Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by Law:
• (LC: POLISH-TN) Coronal Polishing Certification by the Tennessee State Board of Dentistry required.
• (LC: DENRAD-TN) Dental Radiology Qualification by the Tennessee State Board of Dentistry required.
• (LC: NITOX-TN) Nitrous Oxide Monitoring Qualification by the Tennessee State Board of Dentistry required.
• Sealant Certification by the Tennessee State Board of Dentistry preferred.
• National Dental Assistant Certification by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) preferred.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by SJCRH Only:
(LC: DENTASSTTN) Dental Assistant Registration from the Tennessee State Board of Dentistry required. LC: DentHygienist) Dental Hygienist Registration from the Tennessee State Board of Dentistry required.
