Job Summary

Medical Surgical Floor Nurse Location: unspecified. This role requires a registered nurse to provide high-quality patient care within a busy acute care setting. The position involves working on a 38-bed unit with a focus on various diagnoses, including pneumonia, UTI, dehydration, influenza, and surgical cases such as orthopedic and general surgery. The RN will support a team-based environment with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio.

Job Details

Shift Time: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week.

Required Qualifications: BLS certification (American Heart Association or ARC); minimum 1 year of Medical Surgical experience; experience with EPIC documentation; capable of handling a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio; ability to titrate drips such as Heparin, Bumex, and Lasix; able to perform bedside shift reports; willing to float to IMCU when needed; experience with telemetry monitoring and reading strips is preferred.

Additional Responsibilities: Assist with bedside patient rounding, perform accuchecks, and vital signs; work collaboratively with CNA staff and assist in answering call lights.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC, telemetry monitoring, and acute medical-surgical patient care.

Float: Float rotation may be required.

Schedule: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.

Submission Requirements: Valid license to submit; current BLS and CPI certifications required.

Start Date: 10/27/2026

End Date: 01/26/2027
