Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.Join General Dynamics Mission Systems as a Systems Engineer on the Regional Strike Programsprogram. This role is ideal for engineers interested in Test & Integration, Requirements Analysis, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), or Hardware-Systems Engineering . Youll work on mission-critical defense technology, contribute to cutting-edge systems design, and grow your career through mentorship, leadership development programs, and rotational opportunities .
At GDMS, Systems Engineers can advance into technical leadership, program management, or advanced engineering specialties . As a Systems Engineer on RSP, you'll be part of a cross-functional engineering team delivering hardware, software and systems solutions. This Systems Engineer role may focus on one or more of the following areas:
Test & Integration Engineering: hardware/software validation, verification, and performance testing
Requirements Engineering: documenting, analyzing, and managing system requirements
Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE): system modeling, simulations, and design analysis
Hardware-Systems Engineering: design, integration, and troubleshooting of hardware systems
Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related STEM. Agile experience preferred.
- 2+ years of professional experience in Systems Engineering, including Test & Integration, Requirements Analysis, Model Based Systems Engineering or Hardware Systems work (Master's degree may substitue for experience).
- Experience in Systems Engineering, including Test & Integration, Requirements, MBSE, or Hardware-Systems.
- Execute systems engineering activities in Test & Integration, Requirements, MBSE, or Hardware-Systems, depending on focus area.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure system performance, reliability, and compliance.
Document, review, and manage system requirements using requirements management tools and MBSE.
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and technical standards.
Work on mission-critical defense programs with award-winning engineering teams.
- Flexible work schedules, including 9/80 option (every other Friday off).
