Medical Dosimetrist/ Dosimetrist (Clinic)

Epic care is seeking a full-time Dosimetrist to join our team. You will work closely with the Chief Dosimetrist, Staff Dosimetrists, and Physicists. Our practice consists of RO Physicians in our accredited Radiation Oncology clinics in the East San Francisco Bay Area with a total average daily treatment load of ~120 patients per day.
Staff Dosimetrist Responsibilities:

Design treatment plans utilizing optimal beam geometry to deliver a prescribed radiation dose while sparing surrounding critical structures.
Modalities include: 2D/3D, electrons, IMRT/VMAT, SBRT/FSRT, SRS, HDR & LDR Brachytherapy.
Ensure clear communication between Physicians, Physicists, Radiation Therapists, and other staff to facilitate a productive, cooperative, and safety-minded approach to patient care.
Identify and contour normal anatomical structures with a high degree of accuracy.
Perform regular image fusion using MIM Maestro software including but not limited to CT, MRI, PET/CT, 4D Symmetry, and Ultrasound.
Create and transfer plan documents and reference images for patient localization and treatment records.
Document and bill all work completed and verify its accuracy before finalizing.
Monitor and update planning status for efficient workflow.
Review prior imaging and treatment records and create dose composite plans to provide feedback regarding potential dose overlap and cumulative irradiation to critical structures.
Participate in the planning, documentation, and submission of clinical trials.
Participate in weekly chart rounds and department meetings.

Active Breathing Control.
Certification:
Certified Medical Dosimetrist Required.
The Staff Dosimetrist is required to work independently, proactively, and adapt appropriately to changing priorities while taking direction as needed and conforming to established procedures. You must have strong written and verbal communication skills, be very computer literate, and display excellent attention to detail. Ideal candidates will be able to balance the above tasks while maintaining flexible, friendly interactions with clients and staff.
To be considered for this opportunity, please have a current CMD as well as three to five years of clinical experience. Current Pinnacle planning experience is required; Mosaiq experience is preferred.
