Head of Risk Business Management (f/m/d)

Business and Financial Operations

Risk Management Program Specialist for the Department of Financial Services, Division of Risk Management, located in Tampa. The role involves investigating state liability claims, coordinating with contract adjusters and defense attorneys, negotiating settlements, and managing litigation files. Responsibilities include evaluating claims, authorizing settlement offers, maintaining claim reserves, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and procedures.
Key qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to conduct fact-finding interviews and investigate insurance claims
Knowledge of insurance risk management principles and data analysis methods
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
One or more years' experience in insurance field or liability claims adjusting (preferred)
Florida Adjuster license (preferred)
