HR Generalist

A well-established manufacturing company in Waterbury, CT is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their team. Serve as a key point of contact for employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, and employee relations
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for hourly and salaried positions
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data
Handle employee relations matters and help address workplace concerns
Assist with performance management, attendance tracking, and disciplinary processes
Ensure compliance with company policies and federal/state employment regulations
Assist with HR reporting, audits, and other administrative projects
Partner with management to support employee engagement and retention initiatives
Help develop and maintain HR policies and procedures
3+ years of HR Generalist or similar HR experience
Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or other fast-paced onsite environment preferred
Strong knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and employment laws
Experience with an HRIS/payroll system; Ability to handle confidential information professionally
Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or a related field preferred

The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who is comfortable being visible and accessible to employees in a manufacturing environment. This person should be able to balance day-to-day HR administration with employee relations, recruiting, and compliance responsibilities.
